What to Wear: Fall Edition

I know that getting outfits together for a family session can be stressful. A few tips can help make the process much easier. The most important thing is to be comfortable. If you aren’t comfortable and constantly tugging or readjusting, you’ll be too distracted to have fun!

STYLES
Patterns can be great for a nice pop. Stripes, plaid and florals are some of my faves. Be sure to steer clear of mixing too many patterns, large graphics or logos, which can be distracting.

LAYERS
Layering is a great way to mix up an outfit and have options. Think scarf, hat, jacket or tights.

COHESIVNESS
Break up colors and patterns but keep it coordinating. An example would be one person in a floral or plaid and then the others can compliment the colors in that outfit.

COLORS
Some of my favorite colors for fall photos are maroon, navy blue, olive, mustard and cream. When taking outdoor photos you can never go wrong with earth tones!
*Make sure diapers are covered and short dresses either have tights or shorts underneath.
