Love, tradition, a fantastic 80's band and oh so much dancing!

Meet the new Mr. and Mrs. Colõn! Tekla and Ken wed in the bustling city of Pittsburgh on the first Saturday in June. This wedding was full of love, tradition, a fantastic 80's band and oh so much dancing.

"Everyone carries a blue print in their heart of the one they love," the priest told the bride, groom, and rows of their family and friends gathered from all over the States and Puerto Rico. During the ceremony at the Epiphany Catholic Church, which is over 100 years old, the priest addressed guests in both English and Spanish. In the traditional "Arras Ceremony," Ken exchanged 13 coins with Tekla signifying the passing of all his spiritual, personal and actual wealth.

Once everyone moved to the cocktail hour and reception, they were greeted with a perfect way to celebrate the nuptials of these two love birds. 80's music! Washington, DC. cover band Reflex took the stage and the dance floor was packed. Guests were right along side the bride and groom as they danced and sang all night long. While the band took a break, salsa and meringue music got the couples on the floor and I longed for the ability to have rhythm. Those who worked up a sweat could quench their thirst and appetite with the couples signature drink "TK Island" or hit up the soft pretzel and popcorn cart.

This wedding was an absolute blast. Congratulations to Ken and Tekla!
