A mutual friend introduced Jason and Rebecca at a GirlTalk concert in Pittsburgh. The couple said they felt like they were the only ones in the room that night, sparks flew and the rest is history!
Memorial Day weekend Jason and Rebecca wed in a small historic town called Ligonier. It was a beautiful Sunday in The Diamond as chairs that lined the sidewalk were filled with their closest friends and family.
Prior to the ceremony Jason sent a groomsman to the girls suite with a gift for Rebecca. The girls oo'd and ah'd over her new pearls and tears were shed as Rebecca opened a scrapbook titled "Our Adventure Book," already started off with a special message, photos of their life together and extra space for the years to come. Rebecca was just as sentimental as Jason, sending over to him a leather journal with it's own special message and a black Movado watch.
After a short and sweet ceremony where the couple recited their own vows, guests blew bubbles as the new Mr. and Mrs. Demek walked down the isle. Everyone then made their way to The Barn, the reception site, a few minutes down the road. It's rustic charm matched perfectly with the decorations of mason jar vases and candle holders.
In honor of their first date, the new Mr. and Mrs. were introduced and walked in to the Pittsburgh Penguins theme song while guests waved personalized Jason and Rebecca Penguin towels in the air. The night was filled with towel waving, dancing, singing, drinking, cookie eating (got to love that Western, PA tradition) and a sparkler send off at the end of the night. As things wound down guests filed outside to light their sparklers and wish the bride and groom well.
